In my opinion this is one of the fundamental problems with the UK. How is that as taxpayers our money has been used to save these organisations, which otherwise would have collapsed yet now they are still paying bonuses for no visible performance and still not lending money. Something is not right there! It’s interesting that although all of the lenders have been bailed out they are not passing this onto consumers, with lending falling in January.
