The leader of the pack is an expression thrown around quite a lot or perhaps heard in song. But what does this expression really mean in terms of human experience and is this something that can really happen for someone? The leader of the pack is basically someone who can grab every opportunity in life and do something with it. When an opportunity presents itself, the leader would not shy away from it due to lack of courage, fear, or uncertainty.
Now with that in mind, the leader would not trade wisdom for poor judgment. There is a difference and it is a notable one. Good opportunities are certainly distinguishable from the poor ones, but the leader knows this concept and acts upon instinct and it serves them well. The action and risk taken in life, make the leader better equipped and more capable of handling large challenges and obstacles. The leader learns, grows, and evolves.
The leader also has a sense of self-worth and dignity. Their self-worth is known within themselves and they truly understand what they are capable of accomplishing in life. With this dignity and self-respect, must come a mutual respect for others as well. People’s motivations, ambitions, and dreams can differ greatly from one person to another. Therefore, just because the leader knows their own significance, is by no means a valid reason to look down upon others or treat others with disrespect. Ultimately if the leader cannot respect others, then they will never truly be capable of respecting themselves.
So are you currently a leader? Do you have the abilities and drive to stand apart and to become stronger? Can you treat yourself and others in a way that shows you value yourself and mutually respect people? Are you able to recognize good opportunities and really pursue them? Only you can make that determination and choice. Do you want to be the leader? Is it within you? You make the decision and lead the way.
